Prepaid SIM card in France

If you wanna share your moments in Paris with the world in real time and don´t want to miss a thing from your tour, you can´t waste your time by getting into every Starbucks to use wifi! There are many options for prepaid plans!

I got it from Orange, one of the largest operators of mobile and internet services in Europe, and chose the “max” plan valid for a month that costs €30 and includes unlimited call + SMS in France and 2gb mobile internet. I found the service very good and recommend it. The only problem I had was in finding an Orange store that had not ran out of the SIM card. On a Monday afternoon I went to two stores (one on Champs-Elysées and another on Boulevard Vaugirard) and both told me that they would receive it in a couple of days… I couldn´t wait that long, so I had to search for other stores in town and finally managed to buy it at Orange – Place La Madeleine.

Great service! The attendant spoke good English and helped me to set up everything, so I left the store connected to the world again! A few weeks later I ran out of internet before my plan was over, so I easily purchased a recharge card in one of those tobacco shops.

Tip: even using the new chip, you do not have to change the previously number registered in Whatsapp. When you open the app, click to continue with the old number instead of inserting a new one, then you will have access to all pre-existing contacts and also add new ones.

Fontaine de Médicis at Jardin du Luxembourg

There are some specific places in Paris that make my heart beat faster for some reason I can’t explain.

On my last trip I had this feeling while walking from Rue Férou to Place Saint Sulpice and watching the sunset at Quai Malaquais… But Fontaine de Médicis, at Jardin du Luxembourg, has had such a power over me since the very first time in town. I can spend hours relaxing here, contemplating its details or doing nothing. No matter if it’s a sunny day of spring or a cold, grey day of fall, I just feel happier when I am here.

Location: Jardin du Luxembourg

Metro station: Odéon (lines 4 and 10)

Train RER B – station Luxembourg-Sénat

How much? For free.

Tip: since you are inside Jardin de Luxembourg, stop by the traditional tearoom Angelina, located next to Luxembourg Museum, to have a cup of tea and try the classic pastry Mont-Blanc.

I´ve heard from different people that setting up a blog was a piece of cake. Well, not for me… I was going crazy and wasted several days trying to do it on my own, until I accepted that what is easy for one may be hard for another, and I needed help.

When a great and talented friend recommended me a digital agency called OKN, I was already late and thought I would have to postpone the launch of my blog again.

From the first contact with them to the end of the job they provided exceptional service and surpassed my expectations regarding the deadline, quality and price!

OKN team, you rock! Thank you so much!

Bisous,
Carol
